A visit to Mainau Island in Lake Constance, where the Swedish Red Cross operates an international school endowed by the late Prince Bernadotte, to which youth from many different nations in Western Europe come to share the experience of international living. 14 minutes. Produced by Zeit im Film, Munich, for the U.S. High Commission for Germany (HICOG) prior to September 1, 1952. NB: Note in Sept. 1, 1952 (& July 1, 1954, catalogues) of Marshall Plan films: “This film was produced by the U.S. High Commission for Germany for the Department of State. ECA (sic? MSA?) has been given permission to make any foreign versions and to distribute it non-commercially in all MSA countries except Western Germany.” NB: Although no copies are known to have been made in English, it was also catalogued originally as (a) WINDOW ON THE WORLD.
