Description: Sound (English?), b&w, 14 min. Increase in productivity was a major goal of the Marshall Plan. Drawing on illustrations from British industry, this film seeks to correct the popular notion that more or better output necessarily requires new machines, major plant reorganization, and heavy capital investment. Workers' suggestions, the advice of outside experts, and better trade union-management consultation can all contribute to useful "ideas at work." 1950. Produced by the Crown Film Unit, Central Office of Information, London, for ECA U.K. and the Economic Information Unit of the British Treasury.
