Sound (English?), b&w, 17(?) min. 1) In Normandy, France, a new type of grass has been developed that flourishes on a "soil" of salts and water. It improves milk production in cows and serves as food also for beef cattle, horses, and chickens. 2) Chestnut trees in Italy are suffering from mildew and blight, and Korean trees are being imported to improve the stock; workers harvest and roast nuts. 3) Consolidation of Austrian farmlands is promoted in order to improve farming efficienc. Farmers are shown tractors and urged to modernize. 1953-1954.
