A report on the picturesque Provence region of France, where age-old traditions are now giving way to great programs of economic development: the Donzčre-Mondragon dam project, the modernization of Marseille’s harbor, housing schemes, and the cultivation of the dry Camargue area. The musical score is by Darius Milhaud. Prior to 1952. Produced by Jean Hubinet, Marseille, for the ECA Mission to France. NB: There was also a short (5-minute) version of this film simply entitled PROVENCE, of which no copies are known. However, see AMERICAN AID TO PROVENCE.
