Sound (English), b&w, 48+ min. Actors portray the story of the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union from its inception in 1910 to a membership in 1950 of over 400,000. Depicts in dramatic style the struggle to win better wages, hours and working conditions. Includes collective bargaining and arbitration of labor disputes, union health services, recreational facilities and retirement benefits. Produced originally in 1950 by Promotional Films Co., NY, and sponsored by ILGWU. MSA later obtained non-commercial distribution rights for all MSA countries and translated it into at least nine languages. Further research would be needed regarding rights issues today.
